The service was one of the best I've had not only in Hoboken but also all of New York. The food and drinks (tacos, quesadillas, margaritas, and amazing fresh steak) are absolutely phenomenal. Lastly, my girlfriend is celiac so they offer tons of gluten free options that aren't cross-contaminated so by far safe. Enjoy!!!

As a Californian with high standards for Mexican food this is by far one of the best Mexican restaurants in all of New York State. I highly recommend the steak quesadillas and passion fruit margaritas. The manager is consistently involved and treats the customer with great respect.

Baja is our regular place to go for drinks, amazing Mexican food and we hear soon there'll be a fun brunch. They treat you like family and it's always a warm welcome. Top shelf drinks and the best margs, order a skinny spicy and you'll love it.

This business is amazing! Food is delicious, I had the steak quesadilla and it was the best i've ever had. The chips are addictive and the servers are very kind. Highly recommend best mexican restaurant in hoboken!

Amazing food, drinks and service!! Jorge is engaging; he kept checking in on us - his service was impeccable!!

Delicious food, friendly service! Went here for a third date. We sat outside and it was nice atmosphere, but be warned of the bus coming every so often LOL. The chicken was moist and flavorful, rice was so tasty and perfectly salty, and the chips and guac didn't disappoint. Drinks were also great and had the right flavor to alcohol ratio. Will definitely be back to try a different cocktail and food item.

Over a year ago, I had learned that the long-time owner of Baja had retired, and that the place was taken over by two of its dedicated patrons. Since then, I had only been to restaurant for drinks, until a recent visit for dinner. The menu had changed, and I no longer saw my old standby of the Alambre Cancun with grilled chicken and shrimp with rice; they now only had the dish with shrimp alone. Because of this, I, instead, opted for the Grilled Chicken Fajitas, another dish I used to order rather often. While I waited for my meal, I enjoyed the same tortilla chips and refreshing salsa of yesteryear. I did not have to wait long, however, as the server quickly brought over the sizzling platter. The chicken was well-marinated and extremely tender. It was served with yellow rice, onions, peppers, guacamole, sour cream, and black beans (also had the option of refried beans). Overall, I thought the dish was excellent and less greasy than it had been in the past. I would have loved more than just 2 thin slices of bell pepper, though; there used to be many more and in thicker slices. While it might not be the same Baja of your memories, it is still excellent and worth a visit.

Visited on a Saturday night (after visiting pier 13 and not liking any of the options there). Restaurant was pretty empty and we were seated immediately. Nicely decorated both inside and out. Waiter was friendly and attentive. Shrimp burrito was good but I never had a burrito where my rice was on the side so that was a little off putting. Also had a mojito which was good!
